Hi! My name is Irina Bogdan, and I am a Creative Designer based in Brussels.

I have been part of the communication industry for more than 13 years and never stopped growing and learning. I worked in the publishing sector, fashion industry, interior design and for the last 10+ years I was either employed or collaborated with a wide range of Belgian and international creative agencies.

In 2018 I turned to freelancing, so that I could expand my career as an illustrator and get the chance to experience a bigger variety of clients and projects.

Freelance Creative Designer & Illustrator - Brussels

Project-based work for creative agencies as well as for private brands/companies

As a contractor, I collaborated on a wide range of design projects - both print and digital, either taking full charge from conception to execution, or working within existing teams and contributing as a creative designer or illustrator.

Some of the products I worked on: brand design - identity development and reinforcement, video animation, infographics and illustrations, creative layout (presentations, printed supports like posters, booklets, indoor & outdoor signage, marketing materials, webpages and emails).

January 2018 -

Art Director BBC Creativity - Mechelen - Belgium

I worked on B2B campaigns for brands and institutions like Tempo-Team, Samsung, Brussels Airport, De Lijn etc. and helped creating and deploying their identity across a multitude of supports.

Daily tasks also included a variety of other responsabilities: logo design, direct mailing, slides, event booth, digital communication, annual reports

Graphic Designer Brainjuice Studio - Brussels - Belgium

The full focus was on creating a strong and efficient brand identity for commercial centers from France/Spain/Italy. I was involved in the whole process, from the design of the logo to the prints on the lamps and the season campaigns.

I believe what I gained from my experience so far is less about technical skills (they matter too, of course!) but more about making the best possible use of my creativity - learn what to bring in and what to leave out in every project and collaboration; how much innovation, how much of myself, how much of the past and the future; and fully enjoy the process, every step of the way.

As a creative, I thrive in a team, but I can also be extra-focused working solo. I also connect easily and value human interactions - having worked with so many clients and profiles, I can quickly establish a healthy work relationship and ensure an efficient workflow and communication.

I believe good design is fine-tuning the blend between beauty and functionality

The Adobe Suite was there for me all the way: Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign are my best buddies, but I also do well with After Effects, Lightroom & Dimension
I get a lot done in Procreate as well, from sketches & storyboards to textures, illustrations, 3D painting and stop-motion animations.
Figma is my favourite tool for web & social; For presentations I`ve also worked with Google Slides a lot, and Powerpoint too
Ai tools became good friends too: Midjourney, Krea, Magnific, Firefly, Leonardo, Invoke and the list keeps growing
In my spare time I play a bit with 3D modelling in Nomad Sculpt
I am highly versatile with styles and media and I can easily adapt to the spirit and aesthetics of a brand
